Our Story
Meet Sydne and Elle, the passionate founders of The Well! As dedicated fitness instructors in the Missoula community, we have dreamed of creating a space that brings together the best of Pilates and other exercise modalities. We were on the hunt for a studio that not only embraced the essence of movement but also infused it with a vibrant, elevated vibe that Missoula deserves.
At The Well, our vision is to create something fun and fresh. An inviting sanctuary where everyone feels welcome to explore their fitness journey. We are passionate about Pilates, music, and our local community, and we’ve blended these elements to craft a unique experience that inspires joy and connection.
Our goal is to make fitness accessible for everyone, whether you’re a seasoned pro or just starting out. We invite you to join us at The Well, where you can find your flow, enjoy good music, and connect with a supportive community. Welcome to The Well!
FAQs
What is contemporary Pilates?
Contemporary Pilates combines traditional Pilates principles with modern techniques and equipment. It focuses on functional movement, body awareness, and strength, offering a dynamic, accessible workout for all levels.
Do I need experience to join a class?
No prior experience is necessary! Our classes are designed for all levels.
Are classes suitable for pregnant individuals?
We recommend consulting your healthcare provider before participating in any fitness classes during pregnancy.
What should I bring to class?
Please bring plenty of water to stay hydrated, especially for heated classes. For heated classes, a mat towel that fully covers your mat is required, while grip socks are required for non-heated classes. We provide mats and props for all classes, and if you don’t have a mat towel, grip socks, or water, they are available for purchase or rent at the studio.
What should I wear?
Wear grip socks and comfortable athletic clothing that allows for movement. If you don’t have grip socks we have them available for purchase at the studio.
WHAT IS THE INJURY & LIABILITY POLICY?
Please note that all clients attend classes at their own risk. The Well will not be liable for any injuries sustained in the studio.
How do I sign up for classes?
You can sign up for classes online through our website or by downloading the Mindbody App. We recommend reserving your spot in advance.
What is your cancellation policy?
Classes not attended without a 12-hour cancellation/ no shows will result in a fee charged to the client.
when do classes open for booking?
Our class schedule runs on a rolling basis, which means classes open up day-by-day depending on your booking access. Members can book classes 14 days in advance, while non-members can book 7 days in advance. Each day, a new day becomes available to reserve, allowing you to consistently plan ahead.
What is infrared heating?
Infrared heat warms your body directly instead of just heating the air. It feels like the natural warmth of the sun on your skin. Simple, soothing, and evenly spread throughout the room.
Is infrared the same as red light therapy?
No. Infrared heat is invisible to the eye. You won’t see any glowing red lights in the room. The panels simply emit a safe, invisible warmth that you feel on your body, not see.
Will the class feel really hot?
Not at all. Since the heat is invisible and works by gently warming your body and objects in the room, our Herschel infrared heaters maintain a consistent, comfortable warmth, typically set between 85–90°F, supporting your practice without overheating the room.
What are the benefits of infrared heating in Pilates?
Infrared heat can help increase circulation, warm your muscles more quickly, improve flexibility, and support recovery. Many people also find it promotes relaxation, reduces stress, and enhances the overall mind-body connection during class.
